A quick and simple automation of monthly and ongoing reporting of web stats using Google Sheets and the Analytics API.
This small, but ever growing project arose out of the basic need to remove the overhead of reporting web stats every month within IWM. Underneath it all there’s a Google Sheet which uses the Google Analytics Add-on to automatically update stats in the early hours of the first day of each month. The tool now contains graphs split across a high level segmentation of content, whilst also drilling down in some detail into sources, internal referrals, conversions etc.
